I have an iPod and I used to use my Laptop to download music to it, but now I have a new PC and want to start downloading music from that instead.

The problem is, when I first got this Ipod it was second hand, the guy already had 500 songs on there and when I plugged in the USB connector thing and downloaded iTunes somehow I managed to delete all 500 songs.

It might of been something I accidently clicked on or it might be that when I connect it to a new PC it deletes all of the songs so could someone tell me whether it WILL or WON'T delete my songs if I change to my new PC.

Spank you.

There is an option on itunes to not delete songs but it means you have to manually add new tracks. Good if you delete a lot of your songs from your PC but want to add a few new songs.
Can only change the option when the iPod is plugged in which is annoying at times.

If you transfer music from a different iTunes to the one you normally use (i.e. one on someone else's computer) it will wipe the current tracks off the iPod - this is to stop you simply collecting tracks from loads of computers and copying them onto your own, i.e. piracy.

If your iPod freezes, press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears - you should have to hold the buttons down for about 6 to 10 seconds ( http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61705 ).

F**king hell.

My iPod has frozen now. I managed to sort out the probelm but now for some reason my iPod has frozenand theres no way to un-freeze it.

I just plugged it in and tried to transfer a few songs, it's now frozen saying "Do Not Disconnect".

What do I do?

I've tried charging it, plugging it back into the PC and it isn't doing anything.
