Building up a pc from a kinda grant, what's good for graphics?

The last pc I built up was a P3 450, so I'm a little out of touch here.. :)

Any other recommendations for building up anyway, especially memory, confused me with that. I'll edit this in a bit to show what bits I've chosen so far.

Asus K8V-SE Deluxe Motherboard
AMD (Newcastle) Athlon 64bit 3200
2 x Corsair 512 Memory
Connect 3D ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB
Seagate 120GB Hard Drive
NEC ND-3500 Double Layer Dual 16x DVD R/RW
Mitsumi OEM Black Internal Floppy Drive

And pentiums have a tendancy to overheat whilst you're playing games.

If that's your budget I'd recommend the 9800 pro.

If you are gaming you will want an Athlon 64.

Will you need a monitor, keyboard and mouse as well?

Budget's around £600, and will be playing games. I.E. Half-Life 2

I'm a bit of a traditionalist, or should I say, scared of change, so I haven't really thought of AMD.

You can pick up a 9800 Pro 128mb for around £140, however if you want to be fancy you can pick up an X800 for around £250 - £300.

Have you considered Athlon 64 Grix?

Abit AI7 - Im a happy user of afore mentioned motherboard, although the AMD crew (You know who you are :P ) will no doubt come on and try and convince you otherwise.
