My cat was scared of all the fireworks yesterday, so I went to pick her up to give her a cuggle and wuv, but she span round and sunk her teeth and claws into my arm - leaving a massive gash across my wrist. I reckon a bit deeper would have got the vein and left me bleeding to dearth on the floor...

It's actually pretty hard to die from slitting your wrists/throat etc. Bleeding to death takes a while...
My cat was put in my room last night, because there were a load of kids over (my dad runs a youth club) and loud kids plus loud fireworks equals one scared cat.
She wasn't TOO bothered by it all, when she was younger she'd cower behind furniture.

I doubt you'd bleed to death with a slashed vein. You'd at least have time to get help.
