Cheats never prosper, some say.

Others might say that it's better to cheat and win, than to never have of won at all.

But honestly, some games are incredibly difficult without a little help!

Buying a walkthrough at the same time as you buy a game is not something I'd advise. If you're going to simply follow the game as the book tells you, you'll miss out on much of the games charm, and the feeling of achievement when you work something out.

Mind you, is there any point in reaching a point at which you get stuck, then getting so frustrated with it, you never play it again? Surely this is the timeto look for a walkthrough, or seek out a cheat.

Mind you, I never got much enjoyment from budgetting in Sim City, but enjoyed having limitless money at my disposal to build the city just as I wanted.

I think with Sim games, the cheats for money arent really cheats, they just allow you to progress quicker.

You still have the same obstacles, but without the worry of funds.
Simcity is a lot more fun once you can build what you want when you want.

But codes for unlimited ammo etc, I dont use those.
Guides are one thing, altering the gameplay with codes I dont like and wont do.

That's the thing. Sometimes the puzzles are so ridiculously stupid, that you're not going to know what the developer wants you to do in order to progress.

I reckon they stick in the odd bit like this just to sell a few walkthroughs?

The only time I've resorted to cheating was with the walkthrough for T Raider 3 (or was it 4?).
I phoned Stephen Hawkins for the answer, but he just said something about it was too hard.
Might have been his answering machine though, hard to tell.

And EVERYONE used a walkthrough for that game.

I mean, who the hell looks for the exit in a mirror underwater?

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

Not that I'm bitter or anything
