Actually, I have a mate who works in a sausage factory. All the people there are immune to the smell which really stands out the first time you visit. You'd probably be able to get away with not smelling pet food.

Nah it's not that bad, in fact it's similar to the stuff they use for kebab meat. It's the process they put it through to make it exist in tins which don't go off for ages that makes it stink.
