Is it really worth taking them all over?
Won't you get invaded every 10 seconds with all of them?
And don't you lose them all anyway?

???
??
?

So ... many ... questions ...

Your own territory gets attacked seemingly at random - you've got quite a long time to get back to it and kill about 7 or 8 people of the other gang to stop them taking over.
Very annoying - you should get to keep the territories for good when you've captured them.

I'm gonna do it anyway so I can get my weapon skills up - you get to shoot about 30 people without getting any wanted stars, so it's quite worth it. I've got my AK up to Hitman status - now I can kill just about anyone long before they even get within range to shoot at me.

By the sound of it, depending on where you are in the game or what mission your on, your own territory gets attacked and you will have to make a choice, defend or leave till later and regain.

Not got to that part yet but only what I've read here.

I haven't got the game but I was wondering, can you wipe out gangs completely or do they come back with a vengeance?

It only becomes apparent after a certain mission. If you can't see purple, green and yellow shades covering your map, you can't be that far yet

Where or when does the different gang areas appear on your map or do they not?

I thought I read somewhere that you can see what parts of the map change colour as you takeover gang areas, on my map everything is green and thats just mostly grass :|

Am I looking at the wrong place or does something happen later on?

Yeah, I took them all over and everytime I was in the middle of a mission it always said 'Your Hood is under attack' so I'd have to decide whether to defend my territory or continue with the mission.

Yes, it does suck, but it gets worse...

After the Sweet mission when you get dumped in the countryside the Ballas own the whoel of Los Santos and you can even go and try to get it back. At the moment im in San Fierro, i've done alot of mission in the cityu and my gang still has't returned. I hope it does though because I really enjoyed riding along doing drive-bys and getting into massive gang fights.

Make the most of the Drive-bys because it wont be long until the Ballas take it ALL over.

They even hang right outside your house s it's quite hard when your trying to save the game, unless you buy a different property outside Los Santos.
