Japan's not over-populated... I think they are all really small, and therefore that's why they invent small gadgets.

Because tiny gadgets effectively reduce the amount of people living in Japan.

And in the long run make a need for chat up lines to be perfected

Literal translations are a bit pants aren't they. But remember english and japanese are actually different languages.
