Who's next then?
Not as good as that though.
You still got humped in Europe most of those years though.
That's when Scottish football was good.
And Scottish footballers were good.
You don't get to the Champions League semi finals by being crap, and Aberdeen gave Rangers a run for their money in most games, so Aberdeen would have done well too.

Pfft, the Scottish Strikers are great, its just everyone else who isn't.
At the end of the day, we should stop bickering; I can't see either not trying their hand at the role sometime in the future.

Missed my point by as much as a Scottish player misses the net :-D
Only Jock Steain managed 9 in a row in Scotland other than SMith, and he's possibly the greatest Scottish Manager ever, so what does that say about Smith?
He's close.
It's Strachan's turn now, in my opinion. He's a good younger manager that I think will help the Scottish team progress really well. He did an amazing job at Southampton and look at how they've crumbled apart since he left. Again, with Coventry, kept them in the Prem for sooo many seasons, and look at how they've just dropped out of the sky now. They don't look like returning to the Prem in a hurry.
But it doesn't matter anymore, because the SFA have refused Strachan's six year contract demands, so I can't see them going with anyone but Smith. Still a fine choice.
Strachan, erm, well.
