Liverpool 1-0 Arsenal
Michael Owen 86
It will be the best final for many years.
Liverpool will take a 12th minute lead from a McAllister free kick.
Owen will make it 2-0 just before half time, avoiding 3 defenders as he runs into the box and fires a low shot past the despairing David Seaman.
Wenger can't wait to get his men in at half time, and we don't see Bergkamp in Arsenal colours ever again.
Kanu is in his place in the second half and Arsenal are a new team, pulling a goal back on 54 minutes from the man Kanu, after a bit of impressive ball juggling in the box, and a powerful shot.
Liverpool however will regain the advantage at around the 70 minute mark, again through Owen, taking advantage of some dodgy defending from a corner.
In the 85th minute Parlour releases a lethal 30 yard drive, which Westerveld can only parry into the path of Henry, who taps it in.
Liverpool try to play keep ball, trying to hold on for the last 5 minutes, however Fowler decides to try his luck with a chip from the half way line. Seaman cathes the ball, and rolls it out down the wing. Good work from Pires and Henry lead to an Arsenal corner. Almost everyone is in the Liverpool box, with Fowler and Seaman standing around the centre circle. The ball is cleared, straight to Fowler. Seaman dispossess him with relative ease and fires the ball back into the box. Adams gets a flick of, and Kanu taps it in for his second of the game.
The full time whistle blows. Extra time is to be played.
Fowler is substituted, and you can clearly hear Gerrard Houlier branding him a 'war criminal'.
Extra time sees a number of chances, and great saves from both teams, but late in the second half Ashley Cole finds himself in space. He runs at the Liverpool defence and a gap opens up, he runs into the box, round the keeper, and slots in from a tight angle.
Liverpool try to fight back, and they manage to hit the post twice, both from Heskey, but the final whistle blows and Arsenal lift the FA Cup once again.
Just a quick prediction based on current form, statistical data, history and stuff. ;-)
But that's just my childish side coming out again. I've told him about that.
