I thought that Planet Of The Apes was OK, again not a remake but another attempt at makeing a film of the book....neither films bear much relation to the book really. I think Burton was a bit out of his depth with a film lie that...too much budget and not really his thing.

Looking forward to The Corpse Bride :)

There was never a Great Glass Elevator film. Suppose it would have been nice if they'd decided to do that instead of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Is there no film of The Great Glass Elevator?

I don't remember much of the book, except there were scary space monsters.

Wonderful!

Probably my favourite Burton actually, definetly one of the best films I've seen this year.

Indeed, I'm looking forward to it.

Planet of the Apes never needed a remake though and was never really Tim Burtons style.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on the otherhand is right up Burtons cornchute.

Seriously though, when was the last time Depp sucked in a role?

It's a Tim Burton film for god sakes, it's going to be godly whatever you simpletons think.

Dahl has never been happy with ANY film version of his books. I haven't seen Matilda properly, but I guess he wouldn't have liked that either if he'd still been around to see it.
