If a car performs well on a beach, then it'll perform amazing on the road, but it's easier to find a cars flaws if it doesn't perform on sand.
How would you measure torque so easily on a road?

considering vauxhall make rubbish "cars", thhat morano is indeed quality. though if the mafiamobile was a car not a prop it would also be amazing.
I laughed at that Ice Cream van stunt, because it was so rubbish it was hilareous.

I do agree though, Top Gear is still the most enjoyable Motor show to watch. 5th Gear is OK, but rather outdated at times and stars Quentin 'pass me the shotgun' Willson.

They should have fired the ice cream vans off of those cannons they used a while ago, the impact/carnage would have been greater.
I'm not into cars at all, however Top Gear is a brilliant programme.
