I'm thinking of getting a Laptop right now but I'm not sure if I'm gonna regret it pretty soon. Does anyone know if there's a real change in price in the run-up to or after Christmas?

I'm thinking about using Ebuyer but I don't want to buy it now, go on the site after Christmas and see "JANUARY SALE - 90% OF ALL LAPTOPS!!!!!!". I'd really kill myself.

Or should I just get it now because the price isn't gonna change?

size-wise, its a beast.

I warn you, you may think 'ah, it's cool it won't weigh too much', in a months time you'll be hating yourself (assuming you buy it within the next month)

I haven't had much of a look around, but that is a great spec for decent money. If I needed a new laptop just now I'd consider that one actually.

This one:

I need it so that I can do coursework between home and Uni. I also wanted it for playing games on, nothing hardcore, just casual hence the 64mb graphics (Urgh...)

If you can suggest anything better (I'm looking to keep it under £1000) then that'd be helpful....

Especially on laptops, they are always priced at a premium.

Price drops on computers are generally tied to price drops on processors. Intel won't be making the next price drop as usual, they are skipping one I heard.

Still, you are unlikely to save a lot after Christmas.
