Bought an ASUS AX800Pro TVD the other week and have successfully flased it to X800XT PE

Clock before: 475/900
Clock After: 520/1120

Pipes before: 12
Pipes after: 16

Chuffed as hell!;)

From my experience it is the memory clock that causes instability more so than the GPU. I have the CPU clocked from stock 520 to 574 and the memory from 560 to 600 at the moment which seems to run okay on the whole. If I go slightly more with the memory I just get constant crashes but if I go more with GPU I get display corruption.

This is with the replacement of the standard cooler for the new Arctic Cooler Rev 4 with the memory heatsink plate and exhaust fan.

It also helped replacing the standard heatsink paste with Arctic Silver 5 which I did last week. Doesn't allow MASSIVE overclocking with it but I can certainly get the bit more without getting serious display corruption.

If you want to go that bit further I would grab the Arctic Cooler and some Silver 5, it does a cracking job.

same here, I think the cards definately need volt modding; upping the core seems to cause a power deficiency and instability.

eg: 520/560 = big no no although temps seem ok.

508/569 = No problems, decent temps.

Don;t think so, instead try DABS, they offer finance.

So am I right in thinking it's just the clock speeds causing instability as Ihave read that it may be the RAM timings being different as well as the Voltage difference.

If it's justthe Clocks, I may give it a go. General advice it to underclock anyway.

I got something similar, had to go back down to pro clocks, im waiting for a nice waterblock to come along before i go back to the more aggressive clocks of the XT.
