Well, to my mind (And from what I've seen having been there a few times) I don't think much of it. But then, I don't know the area at all well, seeing as I have very rarely gone there. All based on experience, I guess. And Luton should be on that list as well.
All of Manchester is a dump? Rather high standards you have there.
To my mind, Britain is on the whole a good country- although there are some cities which are simply complete dumps, such as Brighton, Coventry, Manchester and certain parts of London.
Everyone knows the UK sucks, there's a giant vacuum cleaner located in East Birmingham which is constantly sucking to clean the air.
