This competition lasts until Christmas.

The first genuine female who achieves the status of "Regular" will get an Extra Gameaday, just for that.

300 posts containing at least 7500 words are required.

Spammers won't count. (So don't "Reply Quoting This Message" too often or we will knock your word count down - a lot)

Do NOT pretend to be female - we will catch you out.

*****STOP PRESS*****

This competition has now been won by "Iggy" Iguana.

er - subject to gender confirmation.

I think we can be reasonably sure it's a female before we hand over the prize. It's just a question of speaking to the person, and if they don't know what they wrote then we'll assume they are not the person who wrote it.

Entrants should be aware that nobody can win Gameaday unless all the details given of the name and address etc are complete and accurate.

(it was me that accidentally deleted it)

> How are you ever going to know if they are really female or not though? I still don`t get how this will work. Its not like you can query the PC to see if the user is male or female. If you ask for a photo as evidence, then it isn`t difficult to get a photo of a female rather than yourself if you are male.

> How are you going to do it?

> Also, I just looked at the Top Posters for the last 30 days. I have been posting for only 21 of them due to being away for Easter, and yet I am so sad that I have managed to become a regular 3 times over (thats once every 7 days). So what`s to stop me from logging onto another PC in this library and pretending to be female and posting a lot for the next 7 days?

> I`m not going to do it, but I do wonder if it isn`t already being done.

Still a long way to go before this is won.

I think Iguana leads on posts but she doesn't have that many words.

So - still ample scope for a good story teller to come through.

'Positive discrimination' is a curious thing. Of course, discrimination in its technical sense isn't all bad. Like whoever picks GAD, for example, discriminates between the good and pants posts to decide what wins, and nobody has cause to complain about that.
The european charter on fundamental rights and freedoms recognises that discrimination favouring those generally discriminated against is an acceptable way to balance discrimination in the bad sense.

I just fear it all going too far. Give them an inch and they take a mile. If we don't watch our backs those evil women will be 'positive discriminating' us all into slavery. There's only one thing for it. We have to burn all the women now. All of them.

Okay, maybe not. There isn't really a point to all this, except that a feint idea formed at the back of my mind and i milked it because i don't want to be classified as a newbie any more. At least give me the dignity of calling me by my proper title, infrequentbie.

Anyway, yeah, get the fire extinguishers, put the burning women out. You're all welcome here, and the only arson will be entirely accidental. Or covered up to look like an accident.

Peace and love, Bombay Duck (dried fish pellet).

Is that that PS2 game? If so, I haved played a Square PS2 racing game, and it was by far the worst racing game that I've ever played. I was thinking that there was a game of theirs that I hated, and you reminded me of it. UGH! >.<
