Maybe some day we can consider the quality of the book too, not just the number of pages it has.
I've just started reading Zeldman myself actually. I must admit, I've been a bit surprised so far, I was expecting something quite preachy, anybody not following web standards precisely should rot in hell and so on. :)

£15 for 400 pages is a bargain.
£15's alright for the book. A lot of self leaning programming books are £30-£40 for 600 pages, for example.

Depends on your view - £15 for a book isn't a lot in my view. Its not the be-all end all of books, but I enjoyed reading it, and picked up a few things which I hadn't known before.
