So I looked at his site, his other site, and his other other site.

Not bad.

Now I want his book... But how big is it? I dunno, I just want to be sure that my £15 is going to a good enough cause.

The Bible must be a bargain then eh? 800 Pages for 2-3 pounds!! :-)
Maybe some day we can consider the quality of the book too, not just the number of pages it has.

I've just started reading Zeldman myself actually. I must admit, I've been a bit surprised so far, I was expecting something quite preachy, anybody not following web standards precisely should rot in hell and so on. :)

£15 for 400 pages is a bargain.

£15's alright for the book. A lot of self leaning programming books are £30-£40 for 600 pages, for example.

Depends on your view - £15 for a book isn't a lot in my view. Its not the be-all end all of books, but I enjoyed reading it, and picked up a few things which I hadn't known before.

Its not written to teach you how to code directly (its not an XHTML / CSS mark-up reference), more about how to think before / during the coding of a web site (i.e. not to throw
's around here and there to get an effect, but to think about how each type of browser will interpret the markup that is available to them).

It's 27 quid from pcworld. Quality, not quantity remember.
