Hi. GCSE student in crisis. I was typing up Chemistry coursework, and wrote a lot in the space of half an hour without saving. Then, before saving, I got a message saying that there was an error, and the word processor had to close. And it deleted all the unsaved work. I know it's unlikely, but is there ANY way I can get that unsaved work back? Personally, I don't think so, but I still hope so.

It's very similar to Word. Would this RESTORE button be at the top of the file, along with other things like FILE, EDIT, TOOLS and HELP? Because that's where it isn't.

Or go to the help menu and click 'about' if there is one.

Probably the quickest way would be to check the installation cd.

I'm useless with computers, so I've no idea what version it is. If you could tell me how to find out it would be great.

Assuming you're using Word, just open it up.

There should be a "RESTORED" bar, with the file.

Hopefully.

If you're not using Word, then what WP are ya using?
