"Laptops - Best place to get them from?"

To cut a long story short:

I want to buy a laptop that will -

Let me use Word etc
Get me on the internet
Let me burn CD's

And that's about it.

Where's the best place to get one from. I have looked at SR's, but I'm not going to pay 699 for one that does loads more than I need (burning DVD's for example).

I'm not going to play games on it. I don't need wireless networking. I just want a half decent speed one, with the basics.

Any ideas?

My lap top does all that and i got mine from John Lewis.

They are the best price at the moment. As they are apparantly never knowingly undersold.

So if you see the same thing at a lower price. they will lower it

Any Pentium 3/Celeron with a CD-RW will do.
