In the UK? Are you sure? I bought an iPod FM/Charging dock from the Official Apple store in Leeds and (used to) use it all the time. Never had any legality issues with it - a copper even saw it in my car once.

I use my iTrip most days. Just get one and if you ever get caught just say you didn't know it was illegal :-)

For instance, all I want is an FM transmitter to allow me to use my iPod in the car without loads of cables. Instead, I realise that FM transmitters are illegal in this country, where in almost every other country you can use one without a problem.

what makes me laugh is when we hear how much money downloading takes away from artists... ok, now switch on MTV and watch Cribs. they don't look that poor to me.... (even if a lot of it IS fake, they're still sending out mixed messages)

I take it for granted that I can get music for free.

Although having said that, getting music you want is often a complete joke with Kazaa :
