This is ridiculous, you could see he was watching the ball the whole way, and was intent o shelding the ball, not injuring Cahll in anyway. The ref obviously noticed this, as the card was simply a yellow, but to take it further, stupid FA.

As many said, Jamie isn't that kinda player ad had no intention to injure the player.

He publically apologised too - STUPID!

Well, now that Rio Ferdinand's back and raring to go, the FA need to get a new "message" across, with another 'scapegoat' to go with it.

Mind you, Keane got charged for doing the complete opposite.

I hate this whole 'tackling with intent' thing. So if i saw a player down the other side of the park and slid from where i was, about 60 yards back, with the idea of crippling him yet obviously missing him (not even i'm that lanky) i could still get done for it?

Please unless you actually touch the player it's not a foul. Football's a contact sport, play hard or go play netball :-D

Of course the intent matters!

If a player is watching the ball and goes up for a eader, but on his way down stands on the other person's foot breaking his foot, it'd be an accident. This is the same, he was watching the ball.

Yeah. And also jumped into a two-footed tackle. Which isn't allowed.

Also, Redknapp's ban is perfectly justified. You're just so blind and biased that you can't see it. It was a tackle that could easily have broken a leg - whether he meant it or not is completely irrelevant. It was dangerous. It warrants a ban. End.
