I've just got the beta version of MSN 7, and it's decent... but some parts of it are just horrible.

I'd never pay for a messenger - I know in the US most people use AIM (AOL Messenger) and I really can't see why MSN would start charging to use something that's always been free.
Having said that though, it makes you wonder...they did close down their chat rooms because of paedophiles and whatnot, that seemed a bit of an over-reaction so maybe they're continuing the trend of unusual decisions =P

They wouldnt risk that, someone would make a version that would be better and free, and it would just wipe MSN messenger out of the picture.
And msn messenger makes money from the adverts on the bottom of the list, so unless they're getting rid of that, i dont see why they would need to sell it.

6.2 is fine. Why pay for somthing that's only a bit better?
