How much difference will it have on heat output? I'm going to be putting it in a Shuttle case where there isn't much room anyway. If it'll run safely at clocked speed in such a case, I might just put the VIVO back into consideration...

In theory yes, I'e never tried it before to so I dunno
i.e. I'd be able to hook up a VCR and record my gaming moments? That kind of thing?
It stands for Video In/Video Out. You can use VIVO to run video to devices that are able to receive video input(ie. TV, VCR).
