Even though I know how easily technology fails (the new train has already had a hiccup) I would love to be on this maiden voyage. It will travel high enough to show the earths curve and you will be weigthless for approx. 5 minutes.

Its a snip at approx. £115.000.00 but I haven't quite got that lying around. So c'mon people give me your donations, start to tear the sofa apart for the loose change, sell your mother, sister, hell even your grandmother if it will help :)

I'd love to go to space. The idea of weightlessness doesn't actually do much for me...though I wouldn't give it up for the experience. I'd just love to see the universe without light pollution and see the world as it really is. Photos surely don't to it justice.

You can just go in one of those planes that fall to earth if you want to be weightless. Much cheaper, I'd expect, and probably lasts longer.

I'd want at least an hour of being weightless.

5 minutes is a con.

The article says that he plans to maybe build a hotel up there. Is this possible?

And can you imagine the fees?!

"Come to the Virgin Space Hotel, for a mere £1,599,999 per night!" (half board, terms and conditions apply)

Yes, WS was telling me about this yesterday. Seems like a reasonable price too if you ask me.
