Patrick Kluivert believes that Newcastle have the best striking stable in The Premiership.

The Dutch international is finding his feet after a summer move from Barcelona and has managed three goals in his last three games.

The former Barca star insists he is enjoying life on Tyneside and feels he has now settled in England, especially on the pitch.

One of the reasons for this is his blossoming partnership with Alan Shearer.

"I feel we are gelling and I feel very positive about the partnership," he stated.

However, Kluivert also paid tribute to fellow strikers Craig Bellamy and Shola Ameobi who, he thinks, provide The Magpies with the best attacking options in the top flight.

"But we also have two excellent strikers in Shola Ameobi and Craig Bellamy," he continued.

"In fact, I believe we have the best four strikers in the Premiership.

"Hopefully all four of us will perform well together when we are given the chance.

"I want to score as many as possible and give 110 per cent in pursuit of Champions League football and a trophy.

"I'm loving life in Newcastle - it's a great place to live and work. The people are very friendly and passionate. They are the best fans I have ever played in front of."

Best striker force my ass. (Before you all start, I'm NOT saying Spurs have the best)

On paper Man Utd and Newcastle have the best strikeforce if you ask me. Arsenal a close third.

Arsenal don't scored loads because they have the best strikeforce. They just generally have the better team providing more chances. Also, their players aren't as selfish as the rest of the league therefore they make what would be a hard strike and easy strike.

Yes because teams do exists of just a stike partnership and not a midfield to provide the service and a defence to keep the lead held, not to mention the unrest within the club in general since Sheppard spoke out about Robson.

No excuse now though, playing some top stuff across the board.

I suppose Newcastle's amazing strikeforce is why they didn't win once in their first four games...

Both Cisse and Baros look quality at the moment...admittedly Cisse needs to settle and he's been a bit up and down, but Baros not a shade of his Euro 2004 self? He's scored today, and did you not see his goal against Monaco? :D

Man Utd probably have the best strikeforce though.

Just at the break...

Outside of Arsenal I agree with him.

Just glanced down and saw some idiot put Liverpool above Newcastle...

Yes of course, we only have the most proven goal scorer the Premiership has seen as opposed to the long proven likes of of Baros, Cisse, Drogba, Rooney etc. I love this sport forum, it should be renamed the joke forum. Bellamy may not score a lot but he reaches double figures with assists and has done since 2001, Kluivert has also played extremely well since signing, not proven yet but Bellamy and Shearer are.

Ha. Lies.

Why can't you all see how amazing Defoe is?!?!

And Keane was incredible last season, has been injured this season.

And Kanoute just got two.

Add Beattie to that in January, that's clearly better than Boro's, Newcastle's and most likely Liverpool's too.

Cisse - Pah, poor so far
Baros - Not a shade of his Euro 2004 self

Was this thing in ZOO this week comparing Drogba and Jimmy, Jimmy won everything by a mile, goals, set ups, passes, crosses, completed passes. Then it got to the money column. :D
