Certain Notables seem to think they are perfect and/or because they think they know it all, everyone else does too.
All I can say to them is, COUNT ME OUT!
I do not want to be classed as an arrogant person.
Anyway, I'm not talking about all the notables, only a select few....
Regular: "Don't worry about it. It's what you post that counts, not your tag."
Newbie: "Yeah but I've posted loads, and I'm still a newbie. It's so unfair. I thought everyone was equal here."
Notable: "I am God."
Regular: "The tag doesn't mean anything. Just don't worry about it."
Newbie: "I know, the tag is totally and completely meaningless. So I want my tag to be regular."
Notable: "At least you don't have a vile gold colour."
Newbie: "How do you get to be a Notable?"
Notable: "Get voted in. You have to be incredibllly popular, like me."
Regular: "I don't think you should be allowed to become a regular just on posts. It encourages spam."
Newbie: "Okay then, I'll post something sensible. I've had some good ideas for console wars, actually."
Notable: "Worship me."
Regular: "They go in the other forum."
Newbie: "But nobody goes there."
Regular: "I know."
Newbie: "Will I be a regular soon?"
Notable: "I don't care. I own this forum."
Regular: "I hope not. We're an exclusive club."
Notable: "You're notable wannabe's"
Regular: "No, we hate you all"
Newbie: "Well, we hate you"
Notable: "We don't hate any of you. You're too insignificant for us to worry about"
What seems to be happening is : New people are afraid to post anything because they will stand out as a newbie. Then they start complaining "why I am still a newbie?"
Regulars annoy newbies by saying that they are brilliant and can do anything, and notables could easily start being conceited.
Don't get me wrong - I don't mind the idea, but half the conversations on here have been about this recently.
I am quite happy to remain a newbie forever - it makes you different from all the regulars, and you haven't got anybody to annoy. I had better stop posting then. For the next 3 hours, I just have.
ps. Whoops, I lied!
I've been around here longer, and try my best to entertain people. Through stories, general chit chat, or by actually writing a decent topic once in a while.
Just because I have the word notable next to my name gives me no right to be arrogant to everyone else, but it does give me permission to feel good about myself. If other people find me being happy disturbing, perhaps it's not me who needs to be put in their place.
Edgy, I know this topic was originally aimed at me for the times that I tell you that your news is out of date... but I take the mick out of Sniper a hell of a lot more than I do you, and Sniper takes it in his stride... which I suppose, is why he's a notable.
If there is any more to say on this subject, say it now. Then this topic call fall to the bottom of the pile, where it deserves to be.

Please SR can we keep it as we are all as

Dringo
HOW!!I no Newbie, Zeldapro Regular now.
Other than that, I don't think it's too bad to have a bit of competition on the site, although if notibles are chosen for particular reasons then it should be that regulars are also chosen this way to avoid confusion. I mean, other than the number of posts they do.
