If there is an obvious choice of race, that will be Round 18. If there isn't a result, a shortlist will be made available at the Round 17 prediction thread.
Okay, onto last years race. Remember, some I mention in this section may not have raced last year so check the website: http://www.freewebs.com/gpsr/srf1.htm
The entire weekend in 2003 was a washout with rain affecting the qualifying and the race. Qualifying saw Webber (NOT RACING THIS YEAR) in his Jaguar take pole position ahead of Ralf Schumacher in the Williams and Alonso (NOT RACING THIS YEAR) in the Renault.
We are interested in the 9 drivers in the title hunt this year. Let's see how those that raced last year fared. Ralf Schumacher was 2nd, Barrichello was 7th, Heidfeld was 10th, Button was 11th, Villeneuve was 12th, Montoya was 13th and Fisichella was 16th. Baumgartner and Salo didn't race last year but Minardi's were 5th and 14th and MG's were 8th and 19th.
As I mentioned earlier, the race was wet but everyone was doing well in keeping it on the track. Heidfeld came through from 10th to win, ahead of Button in 2nd and Barrichello in 3rd.
I've mentioned 3 of the 9 already so here are the others. Ralf Schumacher finished 8th, Fisichella 9th, Villeneuve 13th and Montoya retired with suspension trouble. Baumgartner and Salo didn't race but Minardi's were 5th and the other retired while MG's finished 6th and 12th.
