I walk all the way to the train station which is a good 30 minute walk. I arrive there 10 minutes before the train is due and I'm still sat there 40 minutes later. By this time, even if the train did show, I wouldn't be in time for the film anyway. I rang my mate and told him I couldn't make it and walked the half hour uphill walk home.
An hour and a half wasted and another extremely boring day to look forward to.

I still can't understand trainspotters. I see them all the time at the end of platforms in their unique gatherings or embroiled in territorial disputes; when one spotter encroaches on anothers' designated area by placing his fold-a-way seat two inches over the boundary.
In essence you look at the numbers on the coaches and on the train unit itself and write them into a book. If you are a Trainspotter in Reading station; you'll be using a video camera to record the train for whatever foul purposes you deem appropriate. Sometimes you'll run alongside the train with the video camera, with other spotters doing likewise. Then you'll return to the fold, and review the footage with the rest of the spotters and make much laughter and gregarity.
I take it these people are on job seekers allowance or incapacity benefit, as they are at the station all the time. I cannot believe that they are spotting whilst on leave or have retired from their jobs to become full time spotters.
Maybe it is time to solve several issues in one go. People who want to hunt with dogs. People who defruad our benefits system.
I think you can see where I'm going with this...
Seriously though, the trains in this country do suck muchly, making me late for many lectures, which makes me cry.
