I'm thinking of getting a wireless network set up so I can use the broadband attached to the downstairs pc on my one so I can play games etc.
(I was thinking of getting a 54MBps Buffalo PCI card)
Am I right in thinking if you just wanna link two pcs you only need two wireless network cards, no accesspoint etc required?

Why splash out, cables are perfectly fine and i must admit a lot better. There more secure for a start, i saw this program were people went round with laptops and searched for houses with wireless networks. This means they can access files on your network and use your bandwidth. They also put markings outside your house so other people know you have one. Don’t sound that bad but when they access premium rate numbers and charge you £1.50 a minuet u will regret it.

Yes. It's called an ad hoc network. If you want more PCs then get an access point.
