I've seen other maps on some screenshots, does anyone know if you can access them in the game or do you have to download them?

Those screens (original post) look crap. What part of the engine is that? It looks like 'my first texture map editor eva for ages 3+'.

Edit: Trebuchet looks better but what's with all the blandness?

Yep, the maps and textures suck, but download any physics demo ( for example) and the gfx suck. The geeky are more interested in doing cool things. :)

They're actually not too bad. The screenshots seem a little weirded out. The maps simplistic, but that gives you a huge space to play around in, and the models are standard HL2 models.
