So will Nintendo axe the Gamecube or just delay it for another year or 2 to bring it out in the future?? Well I think they will set it back for about a year or so and even though I crave for one I don’t really care at all. Why? Because I have a dreamcast and I know it will get me through another year at least.
I eagerly await games like Mario 128 and wave race 128 but games like PSO 2 and sonic 2 will almost certainly get me throughout that time.

The dreamcast has a first-rate assortment of offline games and some exceptional rpg’s to offer but the online option makes it all that much better. If you get bored with the offline version of quake 3, then try the online mode, as it will give a lifespan twice the size of the normal mode and that goes for a few games as well. But if you’re a bit tight and refuse to pay an online bill, then the dreamcast still gives, in my opinion some of the best games around. These are particularly good offline games.

Shenmue- a brilliant rpg/action game with some mega graphics and stunning moves to pull on the enemies you will face on the journey. There are 4 discs but the game isn’t extremely long and some say the discs are just made up of graphics, but hey that aint a bad thing.

Skies of arcadia- A incredibly strange rpg involving sky pirates and ships flying in the sky which really takes my fancy. Some say the gameplay and graphics aren’t inventive enough to make a high-quality rpg but it has all that the final fantasies do too. The game involves learning some complicated moves and spells so if you find tricky actions to master hard then you might want to steer clear but if you want to be a gamer over the next 5 years then you better start getting to grips with them now.

House of the dead 2- An outstanding shoot em up and easily worth of a light gun purchase and with confidential mission getting released soon then buy a light gun for this and that as well. With a few zombies here and strange disfigured monsters there, you will be blasting away at your TV for months.

Ultimate fighting championship- A vicious wrestling/ beat em up game involving fists and… More fists. There are many modes and some excellent arenas so get ready for an uncomfortable ride as you take on some of the toughest men around.

So my helpful friend the dc will help me through these tough times until we see the Gamecube in the future and Hopefully when I have my Gamecube eventually I will still be playing my dc for a long while. So I am not very concerned about the delays and my advice to anyone who is worried is: Get a dreamcast. They are cheap, fun and will last you until the release of Nintendo’s best console yet. Don’t worry about everyone who says its dead, as its releasing titles for the next year.
