I was starting to go off of them a bit after an appaling display at the Download festival. I was also getting slightly tired of their last 3 albums...
But I've just heard their new track and I have to say I am mucho impressed.
Hope the rest of the new album, named Chuck (after the man who rescued them in that middle eastern country) lives up to it.
If you haven't heard it sign up to www.Sum41.com and give it a listen.

Nope, don't think so, but there was an (incorrect) rumour that they were.
Sum41 are the best out of all these pop-punk bands though. I think.

They were involved in something for Canadian TV about refugees and all that, and they were almost stranded in a war zone had it not been for some fixer. There's supposed to be a song on the new album about the situation.
To my mind, most of Sum 41's music is pretty poor, although "It Makes No Difference" and "Fat Lip" are both good- when they stop being satanic and overly loud and angry, the results can be damn good- a combination of modern punk and some older metal stylings (Their guitarist is a pretty big fan of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden).
I seen a picture in Heat or something.
Jesus, he looks like Freddy Kruegars halfbreed cousin.
They deserve eachother.

I love how that gigantic continent of Africa has suddenly shifted to the middle east...
