This game is teh roxor. I've been walking through an off track pathway shooting out angry french people's kneecaps so they go down quicker. No more sissy auto aim. Then as they collapse to their knees I run up and round house kick them across the face.

Then I arrived at the village, got mobbed by villagers with pitchforks and scythes. My clip ran out and there was no time to reload (you can't do that inventory reload 'cheat' now either) so I ran across the village and headed into a house and barricaded the door. Cue loony paper bag man appearing and waving a chainsaw around, other villagers bring ladders and set them up to the upstairs window.

I ponce around looking for items and chainsaw man cuts through my wooden barricade, narrowly avoiding him I run up stairs and grab a shotgun off the wall. Seeing villagers climbing the ladder and starting to get in the room I realised I'm trapped, so I run into a corner between the bed where they can't get behind me and pull out the shotgun.

Unfortunatly I was a bit too slow and chainsaw man promptly decapitates me, blood gushes everywhere and 'You Are Dead' appears on the screen.


You want this game.



Also of note, walking into a shack to find a woman pinned a few feet off the ground by means of a pitchfork through the face, "No sex discrimination here" says Leon..

Just played through the first Ashley section. Complete copy of the old-style Resi 4.

Needs to be scary, though.

If you miss out because you think you'll be too sared then you'll really miss out. It is a fantastic game. You are at ease most of the time, because you can just empty rooms of enemies, they don't constantly respawn, and once a room is empty, it's a nice safe haven and nothing will happen in there, so you're ok. Then the bits where about 30 enemies come at you are just insane, and you don't have time to be scared. There is the occasional tense room or fight with some monsters, but usually if you run everywhere you don't get scared.

Good stuff.

Haven't written a review for fecking ages ... since I got a job and could actually afford stuff.

You can upgrade the size of your inventory. The only time you get pushed for space is if you decide to carry around a huge great hulking fish in the hope that it'll be worth something. Also if you buy too many guns and stocks and scopes.

I've got the biggest case and I have 5 guns and a rocket launcher, and there's still loads of space left. At one point I was carrying 15 green herbs, but then I managed to use them all and now I only have 1, and I also used all my grenades. Sad times. :' (

The game really isn't that scary. I suppose it would be if you were alone at night and walked everywhere expecting to be scared the whole time. The bit in the basement with the beasty, suposedly the scariest bit, was real easy and not scary at all, really. The scariest bit is when you're just on your own as Ashley, with no guns or anything. Urk.

How limited is the inventory space you've got?
I hate that kind of thing generally.

Probably going to buy this now.

I just got the Striker and MAN is it rubbish. It looks rubbish, it sounds rubbish, it shoots rubbish, even the aiming is rubbish. Who shoots from the hip? Exactly! I want my orignal shotgun back.

I have the Striker for power and the fully upgraded Red9 or whatever it's called for fast shooting. Taking up space in my case and I never used it (and yeh, I have the biggest case size ^_^)
