Ha ha, its funny, but i somehow thought it would be a PC Chips motherboard before i even clicked the link.
This is the one I had in mind...

Couple a things. If you buy a retail box processor, you'll get a heatsink and fan included. Probably best to use these stock HS/fan if this is the first machine you've build.
Check the motherboard you are interested in supports AGP. I bought a 300quid machine when an old one died. It came with a naff motherboard that only had 3 PCI slots.
And you learn what is that.
I've been given all the stuff I need from my uncle and now I just have to go on www.ebuyer.com and work out how much it's all gonna cost.
Okay, heres the stuff I need to get :
- Case
- Motherboard with SD RAM Slots or DDR
- Proccessor (AMD)
- Heat Sink and Fan
- Memory
- AGP Graphics Card
- Hard Disc
- CD Re-writer
- Floppy Disc
- Keyboard/Mouse
- Monitor
Okay, if theres anything missed out it means my uncle is sorting that out. Right, can someone find me the best deals for each part I need please?
I have a budget of 500 quid MAX, thanks.

I'm buying an XFX 6800 Ultra. When the damn things eventually arrive on the market.
I tend to upgrade once a year. Hopefully buying big will stop me doing this for a few (hopefully, but doubtfully) years.

Aye, but previous top-of-the-range like 9800Pro/XT are still excellent cards that'll last a long time. So buy one of them - like I am.
