We haven't had one of these threads for a while, and seeing as I'm all happy now that I've got my graphics card working (cough*installed chipset drivers*cough), I fancy posting my benchmarks. Just post any benchmarks scores you've got for your PC.

Mine are:
PC Pitstop: 2,101
3DMark03: 6,559
AquaMark3: GFX: 6,261 | CPU: 9,748 | Overall: 47,397

On further consideration, it would be at least a rating of 5150. Which truly is amazing considering that was the name of Van Halen's best album. That's like divine intervention from the Mighty EVH, telling you that you need it.

What is the cooling like on the X800?

I had a top notch Water Cooling system a week or so back but sent it back when I decided to go up to the FX53.

On the P4 I did. Managed 600 600 for memory and clock speed respectively. A bit dodgy after long gaming periods but have a new (bigger) case and a new cooling setup since then. I am looking for a sheet hot CPU cooler though to take it further. 3.2 GHZ though? Fooook.

I suggest you buy a Vapochill cooling system: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/VapoChill_Systems.html simply because the FX 53 has been known to hit 3.2 GHz with extreme cooling. That'd be around 5000XP.

Tried clocking the graphics card yet?

Indeed, I owe a lot to NB, he is like a father to me...

*Wipes eyes*

In all seriousness though, the FX53 is scary, it is so f**king fast.

Athlon 64 FX53
X800 XT Platinum Edition
1GB Corsair XMS PRO 3200
2 x 36.6gb Western Digital SATA 10,000rpm
Abit AV8 Deluxe

Only got the rig setup and running yesterday morning but ran a test last night and it was performing sweet as a nut. Managed to get Doom 3 working on Ultra settings at 1280 x 1024 with everything turned on and still running as smooth as a castrated dogs bowling sack. Going to mess around with clock speeds tonight to see if I can break 14,000.

That'd be a socket 939 FX 53 with an ATI X800 XT PE, I think.

It's great, I wouldn't spend quite so much constantly upgrading, so I suggest upgrades to him, he buys them, I feel the sense of fulfillment.

And in seeing that 3D Mark 03 score, I feel justified.

This FAD is taking ages... It's been going for nearly 83 hours and it's just under 75% of the way through. It's got 360 hits....
