Before I go messing anything up, could I just check if this new addition to the SR account page is an information page only?

If I were to add my domain names here, would they still work as they do now with my Freeola account (web site, email address etc) or would doing this transfer it to a different system which SR/Freeola have put together?

Thanks.

1)Tried adding a domain as described above - provided the email address that was included in the 'hint' address. But no email arrived. Tried yesterday and again this morning... ?

2) Also if you go the 'manual' route the form says "Please enter up to ten domain names requiring this DNS server change..." What if you aren't trying to change any DNS settings but just trying to add your FREEOLA domain to the Domain Management feature ?

Thanks.

From November our Registration System would have made you signup for an account on the SR Sales system, this means domains purchased before then will not be automatically put on an account, when this happens you can login to your Special Reserve account, goto domain admin it will state the following:
For transactions prior to November 2003, you can manually associate domain names with this account by entering them into the box at the bottom of the page. Your details will be verified and the domain will then appear on this page.
Just follow this instruction and our system will ask you specific questions based on the details we currently have on our systems.

I believe it will have but I won't be able to confirm this until its finished or I am told by another member of our staff.
Also I will point out the current Freeola Control Panel as a whole is still very secure although there is no SSL, our system will not send out passwords to any user and at most will only give out the username, but to get the username you require to know at least one password on the account.

You don't have much on your site, cjh.

It's no wonder it's CSS compatible though :)

Well the current Freeola Control will be replaced, although we have added services to it our Web Developers would rather get the new Control Panel finished before adding any more features. The new Control Panel (when its done) will be far more secure and far more powerful but again we do not have any sort of time scale on when we expect this to be completed.

Just to quickly give people a note, any GetDotted.com customer who used their SR account during the signup process should find that domains will already be on the account.

Thanks for that.

Though, would it not make sence to have this kind of thing within the Freeola control panel as well?
