I'm refusing to comment on Jermain Defoe, after he's suddenly the best thing ever on one England performance. He's always been an immense talent before getting his first England start, moreso than Rooney in my opinion, and anyone who didn't realise that hasn't been watching hard enough.

Super Ledley = class. It will be a shame to see him gone from the England line up on the return of Woodgate, Sol and Rio, but he WILL have more chances in the future. His goal saving challenge on Huckerby today was particularly superb.

Huckerby may well be the difference between Norwich and the oher promoted strugglers. If he can show the fantastic form today week in week out, along with Norwich being very strong defensively for a new Premiership side, I think they'll survive.

Simon Charlton - great signing for Norwich, he played really well, bossed the defence. Norwich certainly don't look the type of team that'll give away cheap goals with him there.

Goalkeepers - both were great. Robinson did well when called upon, and the new England no. 2 Rob Green (who is a Woking fan, so gets bonus points) made a couple of terrific saves to deny Defoe and others. Top stuff at both ends from these great English keeping prospects.

Mendez - played well. I'm impressed with the way he kept hold of the ball in the middle for Spurs.

Redknapp - The weak link in my opinion. Brown should start ahead of him. Sure he passes the ball well, but he doesn't do much else for me. I'm not sure about this Etouba (great goal against Newcastle, mind) bloke either, sometimes looks great but at others looks completely vacant in a match. Oh, and it was really great to see Simon Davies and Robbie Keane back in for Spurs.

Was a very entertaining game for a 0 - 0. Both teams look solid, and although Spurs had the better of the play, all credit to Norwich for their gutsy defensive play, it paid off. Spurs will, without a doubt, be in the top half this season. Norwich, I hope, will narrowly escape the drop.

Norwich were unlucky I thought. Pretty much dominated the 2nd half.

Huckerby is friggin' useless though.

I was willing Bentley to score!

Granted, it was only the second time I've watched a whole Spurs match with him in the side, but if that was a quiet day, he'll be VERY useful for Spurs.

If Huckerby had every developed a Strikers instinct, or at least up'ed his goal scoring stats, he would have played for England.

He creates so many chances for himself but spurns a hell of a lot of them.

Was a decent game to watch. Defoe is continuing to improve, could have had a few goals today.

Nay. I'm not Joe Cole's hugest fan (we all know who that is... :P) but I am a huge fan of Tiago. It's not about scoring goals with defensive midfield players, but it is about what they do with it, how they distribute it etc. And Pedro Mendes was quiet today.

Yeah, he was great.

Yes, but his work in the holding role was, and will be, very helpful to Spurs. You seem to pick up on attacking players playing well rather than defensively in my opinion. Joe Cole, for example, CAN be brilliant when going forward, but is an absolute luxury.

Looks a very hot and cold player to me. Doing everything one minute and then looks out of touch. Still looks half decent but I'm not entirely convinced yet.

Agreed.

Ugh man how did we not score? So many chances, and Defoe is just a genius.

Can;t be arsed to write more, my knee hurts.

Well Ashman... as with the England game, I may have to go through your post and disagree... :P

Tis Deadly Ledley.

Goalkeepers - Green was superb. That save from Atouba was incredible. Most keepers would have just been pleased to get to it, let alone hold on to it.

Mendes - Very quiet today.

Atouba - was genius. Is genius. Looks a very good signing.

Was a very boring first half. But an entertaining second half.

Without being disrespectful to Norwich you have to consider a 0-0 draw a massively poor result, those are 2 extremely valuable points dropped by Spurs against a team that surely most fans would have expected to have beaten comfortably.

I didnt see the game myself but the result remains the same, you dont get points for playing well.

Again without being disrespectful to Norwich you dont many easier games in the Premiership than the one you just played, how you may rue those 2 pts comes May if you happened to just finish outside a European place.
