The morbid curiosity of what happens when you die creeps over me like a plague.

Washing through my veins, the cure for the itch answers itself in desperation.

A feeling of imminent doubt sucks hungrily at my open soul

An empty voice inside my head makes a thunderous declaration:

‘I life without loss life isn’t worth living at all
To live basked in happiness is never to fall
Into the clutches of wretched despair
Encased and encapsulated, wishing life would be fair
Meanings not forged with no intention to find
Conscience abstained from all feverish minds
A whisper, a tickle, my effigy spit-roasted
Champagne and cake served, cremated and toasted.’

The nightmare, fresh-broken, to a dawn ablaze with light

To gain recollection is to lose all sense of regret

An empty crystal chalice rests tiredly atop a bedside table

In a room filled with fading dreams I think I’d rather forget.

Because I've written a poem and you, with your minor understanding of literature, have read it you think you know anything about me? "Oh my God he said scabs" that must mean he cuts himself, lights candles and cries all night about how much he hates the world.

Did you ever read the poem?

It's not negative, it's about a dream an the guy wakes up and wants to forget it because it is negative. I guess all that TNT and shooting civilians really messed your head up, eh?

I reckon you're some jumped up little 12 year old with errection problems who is using the internet to play army man.

And stop saying "doom and gloom" you retard. Just because I'm not dancing around with flowers in my hair and having free love doesnt mean im not being expressive.

lol am high up in the forces, detest drugs. Have done my fair share of blowing things up and have seen the world from the ass to the nose. Hense i know theres far more to life than writing poems about doom and gloom and that the life we have here is very good in comparison with the rest of the world. lap it up, (by the way dealing in drugs is illegal you know) gimme your address im sure theres an audience for doom and gloom (tin can on bars)"nobody knows the trouble im in"

Comared to the other crap the forums are flooded with?

Yes.

If you're going to be such a purist then perhaps we should only have 4 threads in the forum. Stories, poems, phillosophy and miscellanious.

How about that?

Of course it is easier to write negatively than positively - there are more negative adjectives at our disposal. How many words are there for happy? Then compare it to the amount of synonyms for the word angry or sad.

Many more for the negative than the positive.

Oh and the piece wasn't meant to be all "argh life is terrible, we're doomed" - read it again, maybe 2 or 3 times. It's a dream - the dream illudes that life is bad but the guy wakes up and decides he'd rather forget.

It's moralistic.

Suck it up.

:-P
