The morbid curiosity of what happens when you die creeps over me like a plague.

Washing through my veins, the cure for the itch answers itself in desperation.

A feeling of imminent doubt sucks hungrily at my open soul

An empty voice inside my head makes a thunderous declaration:

‘I life without loss life isn’t worth living at all
To live basked in happiness is never to fall
Into the clutches of wretched despair
Encased and encapsulated, wishing life would be fair
Meanings not forged with no intention to find
Conscience abstained from all feverish minds
A whisper, a tickle, my effigy spit-roasted
Champagne and cake served, cremated and toasted.’

The nightmare, fresh-broken, to a dawn ablaze with light

To gain recollection is to lose all sense of regret

An empty crystal chalice rests tiredly atop a bedside table

In a room filled with fading dreams I think I’d rather forget.

Surely someone with an HNC in Classical English Literature should be able to use punctuation and capitalise correctly? Just a thought :D.

Hello ICARUS nice to chat to someone sensible again. I turned to electronics after having quit university (doing civil engineering) at 18, I went on to study mechatronics and automobile technology. However needed out of the enviroment i was in and picked up on an accelerated promotion scheme in the forces. have worked my way up to 2 ranks before the top slot (Senior NCO wise staff sergeant) in 8 yrs having gained IEE status an hnd in electronics (radar, thermal imaging and laser guidance specialist) and a bsc in electronic engineering with grants for another degree in manufacturing management and the scope to gain civil engineering status again. I was lucky and its not the general army career path.

Classical English Literature. Not bad, was it? What made you make the sudden turn to electronics?

Im sorry but you're a silly little man and exceptionally naive. My actual trade is electronics and i repair them for a living, I help eliminate the threat of being attacked for those people you feel dont rate very highly.

I wonder who else in your opinion comes under the heading of "prepared to kill for money" Arbortion clinics perhaps, your grandad perhaps and possibly your great grandad.

Yet again im so saddened to hear of ill informed and quite possibly ill educated remarks. Youre perfectly entitled to your opinions, tell you what next time, we'll not prop up sandbags in selby, we'll not take over the role of the fire brigade, we'll not perform peace keeping operations in cyprus, we'll not chip in when theres an international disaster, we'll not help protect the innocents caught up in guerrilla warfare, we'll not clean up the mess when bombs go off,and we'll not put ourselves at risk providing food aid and health to impoverished third world countries in the grip of civil war, we'll let the people of the falklands fade out into history, we'll not remember the fallen and the dead of all nations in 2 bloody world wars.

I dont collect medals, I dont want wars, I dont encite violence.... But there is a big mostly bad world out there and just remember when youre sitting there nice and cosy tapping on your computer how exactly you came to have the secure surroundings you live in.

sit down as one insignificant voice little man

I love the way that people in the forces keep pointing out that they're 'putting their lives at risk'. What do you want, another dumb little medal? Like we owe them any favours for the job they chose to do.

You know what, people who are prepared to kill people for money do not rate very highly in my opinion.
