3 months ago, broke my wrists playing tennis. Snapped both bones... 6 weeks later, I was told; "In 4 weeks you can play contact sports again."
I wait 5.
And then, about a minute into a football match, pain searing through my wrist, looking considerably shorter, I'm thinking s**t.
Now, 4 days after that, I have 3 metal wires sticking into my arm, and a hugely big cast up to my elbow.
No contact sports for a year, either. Which sucks.
I love contact sports. And non-contact sports...
Anyway, point is I've been playing very competitive rugby for years and have never come away with worse than back pains. Like wise with football and cricket.
I'm a pretty physical guy when it comes to sports. I play all the hard man roles where being strong and fit helps. Central mid, prop/back row, pace bowler. Quite simply accidents happen when people like you come up against people like me. I've broken a guys arm before. It wasn't trying to, it just happened. I felt no remorse nor glee. Similarly I rained in 5 bouncers in 1 over, breaking a finger and seriously bruising the chest back and thigh of one guy. Sport isn't fun if there isn't a competitive edge. One way to gain an advantage is to be stronger and more physical.
Sorry I've given no kind words, and no, I'm not a driven freak, but these things happen. Injuries don't always come from contact, but when they do, it isn't always malicious.
I will say you have the right to be pisssed off though. I know how annoying missing sport is. I've struggled through many a tweaked muscle to play footie with the lads.

Your nice. I thought you were gonna say so both of us can enjoy it more, well some thing like that, but you were thinking about your self you selfish little . . . ;-)
Sport hurts
Coin do you have a bone condition? It must be incredibly rare to break both wrists playing tennis. I play a lot of contact sport and have never broken a bone, would devestate me if i did, couldn't bare to be out that long.

I fancied taking up tennis but don't think I'll bother. Sounds far too dangerous and anyway I broke a bone in my foot after playing badminton for 30 mins. Never been near any kind of court since.
