Shocking.

News, now. Chechen rebels have taken a school hostage.

Surprised nobody's posted this already.

I can acually see them using chemicals again, the Russians never learn. How long did it take them to work out communisum was really really a poor idea?

For me what was absolutely shocking, not only this but the fact there was a terrorist attack a couple of weeks ago killing 93 people in an airoplane crash in Russia and it was hardly mentioned at all. Had that happened in Western Europe or America there would have been an outcry. This too is a disaster and very sadly appears to be a trend in Russia. Having said that the Russian army are very competent in situations like this.

It was two planes - leaving the same airport at the same time. And it was all over the news - I'm sure it was.

Wasn't. I mean it was for a couple of hours after it happened, but if you went out for the day you would have missed the news coverage there was so little.

Just watching the news at the moment. Russian special forces stormed the school. Seems like a lot of kids getting out.

It really does take a sick mind to use kids as hostages, most were in their underwear and in desperate need of water or medical aid.

Apparently the ITV camera man got into the gymnasium for a minute and there are 'a large number' of bodies in there. Didn't say whether they were children or not but you can only assume they are as that's where most of the hostages were being held

Really is quite sick, what sort of people can do that?

Just waiting for some bleeding heart do gooder to come on TV and try to make excuses for these terrorists

ITV had an interesting take on it, with their reporter actually inside the building.

1) Why's it funny?
2) They weren't stood up in front of the terrorists
3) The camara bloke wasn't English
4) You're an idiot
