But of course, they're based in the bloody south west aren't they? Sounds like a job I could get used to - playing games for most of the week, writing reviews and articles for the rest of it. Also, getting sent to upcoming gaming events throughout the globe.

That's what it says in the advertisement anyway. The pay certainly isn't spectacular though, not that I would imagine it would stop this sort of job being snapped up in five minutes.

Always fancied having a crack at being paid to be a couch potato, guess I'll have to wait for the next golden opportunity :(

For a small office job, like Gamesmaster, that is a very good wage.

Most small offices in Cardiff seem to offer 10,500 (approx) a year, as do retail.

Which isn't a lot, especially if you have a house to pay for/run/live in. And don't forget tax and national insurance payments.

I guess you could comfortably get by if you were living with your parents.

£13-14k is a good starting amount, but I would never consider it a lot of money, and would be looking to up that to £20k within 5 years.

Of course, it depends entirely what field you choose.

Maybe for someone who is just leaving school. But that amount of money will require a lot of budgeting.

£13-14G is a lot of money.

Atleast it is compared to working in most places unless you get into management of some kind or something really specialist.
