Y'see I have my Practical Driving Test tommorow and I really need to pass this...thang.
1) I need to get to work, cannot stand the damn bus anymore.
2) To be able to spread my wings and go anywhere - independence.
3) For leisure purposes.
4) I want my god damn car!
5) Learning is just getting expensive now.
I started my lessons last Novemeber, been having 1hr 1/2 lessons weekly since. In this time I've drove many places, my legendary journey being Southend (Essex) to Southampton.
Walked into the theory thing, passed it first time, walked out. Done, dusted, kabam, kaboom, goodbye. Then this Practical thing comes along...
Oh how great it would be to pass first time, but is this going to happen? No, probably not. I'll fluff up somewhere, once or twice, either that or the test guy will fail me for something I didn't see. From storys I've heard it could be like my 5th time when I pass.
So come on, share your storys, tips, whatever. Got this test tommorow and I need to attack it like a wild...dog.

No, because after passing everybody adopts their own style.
Still suck.
Hopefully, I won't be so nervous my hands don't rip the wheel off.
Well, fantastic in the 'exciting' sense.
And yeah, check your mirrors ALL the time, before you turn, after your turn, as you approach a static hazard (pedestrian crossing), all the time.
I never passed first time. Or the second. Moving off safely and under control and undue frickin' hesitancy. It was the same guy. The second test I was told:
"you were too slow to turn the corner"
"what about the pedestrians crossing the road?"
"I never saw any pedestrians. You were still too slow."
"The last time you failed me for being too fast, this is the way you wanted me to turn corners on the last test"
"um you've still failed"
He is the one person I truly hate.
The most crucial advice I can give is REALLY emphasise the mirrors. That is like the stock failer. Don't speed, slow down a lot for corners.
> Just don't drive like a woman and you'll be fine.
Actually I find driving like a women with the intelligence of a man works much better. i.e Drive slow with good concentration and ability.
