The game wasn't quite as big as I was hoping for, but it was interesting to watch in a slightly passive way. The right scoreline was 1-1, but the linesman handed it to Bolton.
Points to note:
Gerrard won't be staying too long if Benitez treats him like that, I can tell you.
The comical timing of Big Sam to bring on Hierro, clearly because of a lack of Spaniards on the pitch.
Liverpool aren't looking so great all ready. I mean today was generally a poor showing defensively and especially in attack.
Those of you who want to catch the game on MOTD2, I would suggest that you don't expect anything too good, because the majority of play was based on long balls. Such crimes being commited by Gerrard, Garcia, Gardner to name a few.
