Lo childs.
Italy this year - bear in mind, this trip was funded and dominated (in every way) by the parents, so actual fun (sexual) stuff was severely limited and mostly voyeristic - as you'll soon read.
So meh.

I managed to get The Libertines after all - seems crappy airport shops sell better stuff than anywhere near me. So I had soome decent stuff to listen to, although my fannyslat of a sister was the only one with a CD player.

She refused a lend for at least 5 days, insisting that Leann Rimes (whatever) and the Coyote Ugly soundtrack were more worthy or her batteries.
I mean, bloody hell.
Idiot woman.

Then she finally gave out, only to reclaim the piece of plascrap (it skips if you press the buttons firmly) after an hour. Selfish moocrot.

First time on a plane for about 5 years as well - I figure there's no better sight than flying through / above the clouds. Bloody amazing - there was this tunnel of cloud going upwards, with the sun shining through at the top that was simply amzoing.

Anyway, to the actual holiday:

Rome for 3 days, in a hotel where I learnt the timing of Italian porn by heart. At 11 there's softcore posing, then at 12 the babs come out, occasional panty-rubbing. But at 1 the lesbos come out, thongs come off and about half the TV channels convert to sex shows.
Ah well.

Anyway...
It's pretty impressive, yes. Although the colleseum is actually pretty crap inside - much more impressive from the outside, and even then not as good as all the other ruins nearby.

I decided for the first time to take some pictures - usually I hate holiday snaps in all their pointless, dull, throw-them-in-some-draw uselessness.
But I went all arty and got some pretty stunning ones, methinks. Although cheap processing and a crap camera (and the risk that I may have had my finger over the lens for most of the time. It was like being 9 again) will no doubt suck all the atmosphere from them.

Lots of pillars.

Apparently it was the Italian holiday season, so the place (only about 200m from the colleseum etc) was dead, and expensive.

Then we went to the Vatican - again, pretty impressive.
The Sistine chapel was dull - I don't really understand, there's much more interesting stuff there, but why is the chapel so very popular?
Some with the colleseum.

Strange.

Ah well, that's Rome done and dusted - a few more churches, that big fountain plaugues by thousands of tourists messing the place up and dicksits trying to sell me bubble guns.

On to Sorrento - south of Naples, near Pompeii and that.
Did Pompeii - bloody massive place, though most is the just more and more of the same. Few nice places.
Too hot.

There's another place called Herculaneum (something like that) that is smaller than Pompeii but much more impressive. Less tourists, for one, but you can go in all the buildings - many more standing, and generally more intact.

There's a little insider tip for you.
Because you all care so much. Yes you do.
Yes.

We're now staying in an apartment, which is more of a house on top of another house. Bigger than where I live.
Very nice - drinking Mr Tea (oh, how we laughed) and watching Italian Transformers and Pokemon (and the satelliette pron when no-one was around, but shhh ...)

Although there was 1 room that was locked off - bigger than the biggest bedroom, which was odd. Why rent a place with 3 bedrooms when you could open that room and make it 4 and get more money?
It was obviousy full of drugs and dead bodies and porn and immigrants and an illegal betting shop and half the mafia.

Obviously.
And the pictures of little girls, looking very angry / scared on the walls was quite scary. Just their heads. No shoulders.
...

Up Vesivius next.
It was far too windy, and far too cold and far to far to walk.
But the clouds blew in, and the crater - which is, essential, a big, boring hole in a mountain - looked like it was smoking, which was pretty cool.

I probably wouldn't have made it up there if there wasn't 2 extremely hot german, possible lesbian (suggestive hand-holding) college girls right in front of me wearing very short skirts.
And that aforementioned wind was not such a problem after all.

Thong city - and, in one case, possibly not.
It was all worth it.

Went up another mountain, on a boat round the coast.

Got my AS results over the phone after we came out the Sistine chapel, by the by - 3 A's and a B don't you know.
I'll probably be pressured into doing more than I plan to next year (2 A levels carried on and 1 AS) just because I can. I hate that, leave me alone.
I want a day off.

That was about it - flew home, got cooked tea by my deaf old granny when my mum told her not to. She took this to mean to not start cooking until we were there.
Great.

Then we burned to my other gran's to pick up my dog she was looking after (the bestest doggie in the whole world) stayed the night and then home.

That's that.
Bach home, everything tediously normal.

Sat here.

Decided to grow my hair and blow my next pay check on seom decent clothes.

Sister's fecked off to her her chavscum friend who just had a baby.

Other sis is out working. The streets, no doubt.

Dad grumbling for me to get off here.

Mum doing nothing.

Dog, same.

I suppose I should write that last story (of the Stryke Strikes Back / The Cloned Doors saga, now the new Star Wars title has been unveiled. Hands up who can remember those. Yeah, exactly)

Driving lesson tomorrow.

Work at the weekend.

Then nothing until college looms again.

*sigh*
