Baumgartner is sitting at the top of the Championship table, 10 points ahead of Salo, who was so close to clawing some back in the close battle in Hungary. Villeneuve is a distant 3rd and a whole bunch of drivers will probably have their sights set on his position. 50 points maximum up for grabs so we know that Firman and Da Matta can no longer win the title. There will be more disappointment for a few more drivers after the race.
The Constructors Championship is still fairly close with Minardi 10 points clear of MG F1 but that isn't a lot to make up. A maximum of 90 points available for the teams, so every team is still in the picture. The Prediction Championship is looking almost sealed with Der Nazi 20 points ahead of Mike Swade and Ineedsleep with only 50 points remaining. The gap can be closed though.

The 2003 Belgium Grand Prix weekend was a close affair. Both the race and qualifying were dry and it was World Champion to be Ralf Firman that took pole position ahead of Frentzen and Villeneuve. A few notable mentions include Ralf Schumacher in 5th, Heidfeld 4th, Barrichello 6th, Button 9th, Montoya 10th and Pizzonia 12th.
The race saw a really close finish, almost as close as the 2004 Hungarian Grand Prix. Frentzen held off the charge of his team mate, Heidfeld, to take the win for a Sauber 1-2 by half a second. Firman was content to see his points tally edge further away from his challenger and got 3rd.
Some notable mentions include Ralf Schumacher finishing 17th, Barrichello 4th, Villeneuve 13th, Pizzonia 16th and Montoya crashing out with Button crashing into him, both cars retiring.

I got no response from my query in the previous preview which suggest that no one really reads these. :)
I'll repeat what I asked. I've been toying around with the idea of giving the winner of the Prediction Championship the Drivers title (if Baumgartner goes on to win) as I don't think it's fair for someone who has not been here for that long to pick up a title. Let me know if there are some other alternatives. It's your championship just as much as mine and I'm always looking for ways to improve this.
Anyway, remember to check the website for all the up to date SR F1 stuff, which will be updated soon.

Sorry. I read it originally and then by the time I got around to doing the predictions I'd forgotten all about it.
Yes, I'd go with that suggestion. It would be unfair to let an outsider take the championship by picking up the driver at this late stage.
Unless you let one of the current participants keep their own driver and take him as well, on a first come first serve basis naturally.
I'll take him :)
