*Taps Borat on the Shoulder* That wasn't meant to be taken seriously, I was merely pointing out that old George boy seems to have made it his mission to completely ruin the franchise he helped create, directing two films that while entertaining in places (especially the acting) are an insult to the original films.
And as much as I'm looking forward to seeing a huge space battle in episode 3, Lucas has left too much unanswered that hes going to have to pile drive into the final film that, along with his inability to make a cohesive story through the first two films, will probably lead to a confusing, rushed mess.
And Lucas had far less to do with the original trilogy as he did with the moderns one, only directing one of the films and getting assistance with the scripts.
Oh, and;
"using DNA samples from Luke's severed hand to produce a clone of the venerable Jedi Master"
This has happened already in one of the books, so somehow I highly doubt it.

You don't think that's a bit over the top? I mean, if it wasn't for Lucas, we wouldn't have the original trilogy that everyone is so keen to praise, then when he makes a further 3 that are inferior, he's the anti-christ?
I still think Episode 3 could potentially be good, and I didn't think Attack of the Clones was too bad either. Except all the scenes featuring Jar-Jar, C3PO or R2D2. These characters need to be dropped, perhaps cleaved in two by a ticked off Darth Sidious.
He had help mostly in the original trilogy, but he seems to want to write the entire prequel trilogy on his own. I'm sensing a little bit of power-madness..
It's amazing to think the whiny little brat he is becomes probably the most venomous and evil character ever.
Where's the people that don't care for the force? Someone who can't beat a good blaster? Pah. Where's the crazy thrillseeking one? And not bloody Anakin, who has been ruined as a character.
"I hate everyone!"
Well done Lucas, you managed to almost reach the charactistical depth of an angsty teenager. Where's his contempation? Wouldn't it be more terrifying, surely, to have made Anakin silent, confused and more paranoid of himself? No, instead he's this stupid, stupid teenage boy who we're supposed to believe completely loses himself to power and become the darkest and most terrifying figure created in fiction. George needs to sit down and think about what he's done.
Bits I liked in Phantom Menace:
Darth Maul fight with Liam Neeson and Obi Wan Renton
That's about it
Phantom Menace was all the worst bits of Jedi crammed together, and Attack of the Clones contains the worst love chemistry of all time, compared to the beauty of Han and Leia in Star Wars and Empire.
"I just slaughtered children."
"I love you."
