For some odd reason, my favourite part of any song (ever) is either the drum solo in moby Dick by Led Zeppelin, or the background guitar beat thingmajigger in Good Times, Bad Times by the same artist (The guitar bit with the lyrics "Sixteen, I met a girl....")
They just play over in my head so much.
The guitar solo in Slipknot - Welcome.
The guitar solo in Metallica - One

Aye 'tis awesome, but its not perfect.
I would of noted the drummer to be a highlight of this track.
Lost Prophets - Last Train Home
Makes the song stand high above the usuals. It definitely is something special.
By 'latter' i mean from 2:45 onwards. It's the chorus.
AND ALSO:
A particular part of 'Lacuna Coil - A Ghost Between Us'
3:02 to 3:31
in particular from 3:12 where it transposes (or whatever) the note of the main guitaring to a slightly higher pitch, instantly changing the mood of the song at that point.

Liar, there's about 10 seconds of guitar at the beginning and end.
UW
Don't know if it's my ultimate favourite part of a song, but it's a contender.
