Arsenal fan talking about other teams getting the benefit of the doubt? Oh dear that ironing surely is piling up some
But, I am certain the game was played at Old Trafford and not Anfield. I've got a clear image of Irwin crossing the sidelines with the ball, and the pitch clearly quite torn-up and 'muddy'. It looked as big and intimidating as Old Trafford is known to be. I remember the disgusted uproar when Elleray's hand went up... That sound can't have come from Away fans!
And, it seems, when I think Andy D'Urso I have completely mistaken myself for another Premiership referee. I can't think of his name... He's the one who (I think) looks a bit like Dick Thornberg from Die Hard (or some other low-budget American actor)... That's who I thought D'Urso was; not the skinny little dark-haired runt! :S
Booking one player, and then booking that same player again later on without sending him off though; without realising his name was already noted in your little black book... That is something so simple it just shouldn't happen! Ever. He deserves to be punished for it - even if, only for a month or two. In some way, at least, justice is being done here.
Several years after it all began to get so out-of-hand, it's certainly past time for the FA to stand-up and take action against their own men and incompetence!
Though, since this is possibly the first time, and Rio Ferdinand got 9 months, will Andy D'Urso also be subjected to an obscene torture beyond belief as the new 'Scapegoat' in the FA's latest 'crackdown' project? (Not that it'll improve the refereeing standards, of course.)
I bet they're only really doing anything since he admitted to it in his report and, therefore, has very little - if any! - evidence to defend himself with should he want to counter their rulings. :I
But, what about David Elleray - I still haven't forgotten about that time he dismissed Denis Irwin at Old Trafford for running the ball out of play! :@

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it at Anfield? In the 2-2 draw? :)

Sorry?
Soon? Will?

No longer in the game, that's enough i think
But still, what about David Elleray???
> I didn't think Andy D-Urso was all that bad a referee, actually.
Well if you like a ref that blows up at the slightest thing making sure he gets his required amount of tv time so his mom can see her little boy on the tv then fair play to you.

Cross United and eventually you'll pay is the lesson of the day
