However I've had a bit of a look around... and I havnt seen anything that been released recently that really takes my fancy... or that reviews dont think were a dodgy execution of a good idea...
So.. I was wondering if anybody here could help... I'm after PC titles in these sorts of genres...
Real Time Strategy
First Person (Shooter or Sneaker)
Management
Role Playing Game
Arcade simulation (Flight/Car/Bike/etc...)
Other (like Giants : Citizen Kabuto, B&W, etc..)
But to be honest anything people have played recently which they thought was pretty cool...
I'm after reletivly new titles... but I'm after a good game over a recent release...
Anyone help?
Flight Unlimited 3.
You would need to download a patch to run it (video card issues) but it's cool.
HUGE maps, intense graphics
Force Commander
Team Fortress & Counterstrike (Half-life mods)
Black and White
Shogun
Age of Empires 2
No-One Lives Forever
Soldier of Fortune
Unreal Tournament
Swat 3:Elite Edition
Ground Control
Kingpin
If any other titles come to mind... could you stick them in here?...
Thanks again...
Is
> Shogun any good? - I love Shogun, very intense battles, graphics outstanding, think Risk with real-time battles when you want to.
Does NOLF give you the ability to lean around courners? ... Icouldnt find the command in the demo? - Yep, and this one has humour, violence AND...you can snipe monkeys. Really, really original and amusing to play.
Except for Tropico huh? - I thought you meant Champ Manager stuff. *doh*
How is Giants to play? - Good fun, easy to control, frustrating at points
Is
> Half-Life too dated? - Yeah, but worth it for Counterstrike alone. Online only, incredibly intense, one shot kill teambased game. Brilliant and free with magazine
Command & Conquer : Red Alert 2 - S'ok, but like the other ones in the series
Settlers 4
Desperados - Looks cool in an RPG/RTS type of thing
Hostile Waters - This ROCKS
Theme Park Inc, - ok, but you end up getting cheats and just playing around
Project IGI - Keen on this one myself
No One Lives Forever - This RULES, one of the best 1st person I have ever bought
Half Life Generations - If you want this just for Counterstrike, get Half-Life for £10 and PC Gamer, all you need is on cover disks.
Quake 3 - Ok but no teamplay element
Crimson Skies
Giants : Citizen Kabuto - Funny but you need a serious card to appreciate this
Sacrifice
Diablo 2
I havnt played any of these... so

Theif 2 and Project IGI are more your stealth em up, Project IGI is better.
So it depends exactly what you're after.
If you buy any of the four then you wont be disappionted.
My personal favourite is UT.
Real Time Strategy: Shogun, Ground Control
Is Shogun any good? ... I was looking to pick it up myself (I think SR are selling it for 16.99?) But I wasnt sure if it was any fun?
First Person

Does NOLF give you the ability to lean around courners? ... I couldnt find the command in the demo?
