At the risk of going over the top, this idea from Rakuga is something we intend to take up fairly soon:

I like the colour coding. Notables need to be light blue though, Grieg. ;0)

I think I like it like this. Not sure about the 'teal' notables though. And of course, I don't think I can be classified as a 'newbie'.
